CompPair selected by Space4Impact as the StartUp of the year 2020.

Space4Impact is an initiative fostering economic growth of space activities aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. It is with great pride that CompPair announces to have been selected as the Space4Impact Startup of the year 2020 for its healable and recyclable composite technology.

Space4Impact creates an international ecosystem of governmental, non-governmental organisations, investors, entrepreneurs & corporates to promote and connect new space technologies companies with stakeholders to accelerate positive impact. CompPair has been awarded the title of StartUp of the year 2020 thanks to its breakthrough in the field of self-healing and eco-friendly fibre reinforced polymers (FRP) and its potential use in space application. In line with the space industry shift towards reusability, CompPair is working hard to make composite repair fast and easy. CompPair’s technology has the potential to reduce down-time between launches and reduce overall maintenance cost of Reusable Launch Vehicles (RLVs), therefore making space access cheaper and more reliable. CompPair would like to thank the organisers of this event and the Jury for this incredible recognition, as well as the Canton de Vaud for the 10’000 CHF Prize awarded.

Thanks to the European Space Agency Business Incubation Center (ESA BIC), CompPair is already working towards space-grade validation and applications with great success within a supporting and exciting environment.

CompPair hopes to help companies accelerate the shift towards reusability by making composite repair fast and easy, and the Space4Impact recognition is a great testament to CompPair’s space potential and positive ecological impact.
