Sandwich panels on Gunboat yachts for adhesion repair

Gunboat, a leader in high-performance cruising catamarans, is using HealTech™ in their yacht construction. This offers two major advantages for boatbuilders: weight savings from lighter panels and a dramatic reduction in repair time by 99%. Initial tests conducted at Gunboat's factory demonstrate that dents on HealTech™ panels can be repaired in 2 minutes without affecting the paint, a significant improvement over previous repair times of 2 days.

Towpregs for tank applications with ESA

CompPair is applying its healable technology to towpreg manufacturing for cryo tank applications. Conducted under ESA contract n°4000140708 within the OSIP framework, it aims to prevent micro-cracks in cryo tanks, even at extremely low temperatures. Furthermore, HealTech™ technology allows for the creation of type 5 tanks without internal liners, offering improved durability and efficiency.

Carbon rims are particularly subject to impacts due to the wheel during use, often receiving damage, which can significantly affect the handling and control of vehicles, and lower the performance and quality of driving. As heavy stresses develop in the rim, fatigue grows, leading to the premature end of life of a wheel rim. CompPair and Kling Technology have manufactured a healable carbon rim with a high quality performance, allowing multiple repairs to extend the lifetime and quality of wheel rims.

In support to the EPFL Swiss Solar Boat, we sponsored the team by providing our healable composites. The boat's leading edge was manufactured with our prepregs to enable an ultra fast repair of the part.

ITRANS NETWORK

SWISS SOLAR BOAT

In support to the EPFL Swiss Solar Boat team, we sponsored the team by providing our healable composites. The boat's leading edge was manufactured with our prepregs to enable an ultra-fast repair of this part. 

CompPair collaborated closely with the team’s equipment managers and athletes to develop a healable hockey stick prototype.

 

Utilizing advanced composite materials and innovative design techniques, the new stick boasted a unique healing mechanism that repaired minor damages during play, effectively prolonging its lifespan.
